DIARY DATES

8th July - Annual Scarecrow Festival!!  Is your scarecrow ready??!!!

This very popular annual event is shaping up to add glamour to the village with a film theme! Many of our talented villagers have already been planning entries from their favourite films....from Snow White to Star Wars and Batman to Beauty and the Beast.

It can only be a success if there are lots of scarecrows, which draw the crowds on this special afternoon. Nudge your neighbours into making a scarecrow of a favourite film star or film scene. The Glentworth Oscar is 'up for grabs', but the real reward is the satisfaction of making a contribution to this Fun Day in the village.

As well as the Scarecrow Trail, there is lots of activity at the Village Hall from 1pm. Foodie treats include delicious cream teas, along with ice creams, a barbecue, and a Beer+Pimms tent. Craft stalls, childrens' games, a cake stall, bottle stall, tombola and raffle offer ample diversions for everyone. Programmes, containing the Scarecrow Trail, a special fun insert for children, and the voting form for your winning choice, will be available at the Village Hall.

Look out for the film quotes dotted around the village and the Disney movie quiz in the Village Hall.

For further temptation, come with family and friends to enjoy an evening BBQ with salad supper, complete with Bar.
